To qualify for optional practical training before completion of your studies (Pre-completion OPT):

• You must have been a full-time student enrolled in a full course of study for one academic year.
• You must have OPT time remaining.

To qualify for optional practical training after you have completed your studies (Post-completion OPT):

• You must have been a full-time student enrolled in a full course of study for one academic year prior to completion of studies.
• You must have OPT time remaining.
