Students who have insurance that meets the above criteria may apply for a waiver of the Catholic University-offered insurance following the University's insurance waiver process as described on the student medical insurance page.

Important:

• Waiver applications for students in F and J status involve two parts:
  • an electronic application via the internet AND
  • the submission of a copy of their insurance coverage to the Catholic University plan administrator who gives final authorization for the waiver.
• Insurance must be waived EACH academic year for which you are enrolled.
• J1/Exchange Students are not eligible for Catholic University Health Insurance and therefore do not need to waive.
